A Muppet comic strip was proposed for publication to the Jim Henson Company c.1978 by comic book writer and artist John Byrne. The strip never went into full production, but two samples exist with pencils by Byrne, inks by Terry Austin and words by Roger Stern. The three talents are known for their work in DC Comics, Byrne particularly for his relaunch of Superman in the 1980s and his unique take on Wonder Woman, and Stern for his work during the Death of Superman storyline in the early 1990s.
