The series would have presented the Muppet characters as 1950s high school students, in the same vein as Happy Days and Archie Comics.

The merchandise line included a set of PVC figures, two Muppet High plush dolls, and a set of mugs, picturing Kermit the Frog as a leather-jacket wearing teen with his motorcyle, "The Green Machine".
