Synopsis

The show's panel -- Arlene Frantic, Bennett Snerf, and Professor Hastings -- are introduced by Guy, then put on blindfolds before the mystery guest is invited to sign in to begin the game. Mr. Foot then enters and writes his name ("foot") on a blackboard using a stick of chalk that's held between his toes. He is then asked a specific question, first by Arlene, then by Bennett, pertaining to a certain part of the body, but each of them guess incorrectly. Professor Hastings, though, ends up guessing the correct answer by default by declaring that his foot fell asleep. After he is announced as the winner by Guy, he runs from his podium to regain feeling in his foot. Since he is <u>still</u> blindfolded, he accidentally runs into Mr. Foot, after which he removes his blindfold and discovers, to his astonishment, that Mr. Foot <u>is</u> an<span style="font-style: italic;"> actual </span>foot.

Appearance

What's My Part? was Mr. Foot's only appearance. He was not a Muppet, but an actual bare, upside-down right foot, and was attired with a white dress shirt and black necktie with small white polkadots. He talked in what sounded like a specific New York-area accent, and when he communicated, he wiggled his toes. What's My Part? - Foot first appeared in Episode 0256 of Season 2 (1970-71) of Sesame Street. After airing in various episodes over a roughly 20 year period, the "spoof" was retired. It can now be seen at Sesame Street.org.
