Mr. Applegate is a tenant who pleads with Ebenezer Scrooge in The Muppet Christmas Carol. Behind on his mortgage payments, the nervous Mr. Applegate repeatedly asks Scrooge not to shout at him, while relating his family's woes, before being flung bodily out the door.
