"Mouse ears" are special hats originally worn by the cast members of The Mickey Mouse Club, beginning in 1955. The hats are adorned with ears that imitate the leader of the club, Mickey Mouse. The Mickey Mouse Club hats soon became a popular souvenir at Disneyland. These days, the Disney theme parks sell dozens of variations on the classic mouse ears.

In 2010, Disneyland and Walt Disney World shops began selling "mouse ears" hats with the likeness of Kermit the Frog.
