Morris Pert

Morris Pert (1947-2010) was a Scottish percussionist and composer. On the soundtrack for The Dark Crystal, Pert played percussion during "The Pod Dance."

Pert was part of Phil Collins' Brand X fusion group and played as a session musician with Paul McCartney's Wings, Peter Gabriel, and Mike Oldfield. His composition "Family Man" was recorded by Hall & Oates and others. Film soundtrack work included Harry Nilsson's Son of Dracula (with Ringo Starr also drumming on certain tracks).
