"Moon River" is a song written for the 1961 film Breakfast at Tiffany's and performed by Audrey Hepburn. The song subsequently won the Academy Award for Best Original Song and later became a big hit for Andy Williams. Toots Thielemans, who provided harmonica solos for the "Sesame Street Theme," performed the harmonica during the song's use in the opening sequence of the film.
- When the backstage of The Muppet Theatre is filled with cows in episode 322 of The Muppet Show, Kermit informs Fozzie Bear that they're for the closing number. Fozzie guesses that it could be "Mooooon River."
