"Moon River" is a song written for the 1961 film Breakfast at Tiffany's and performed by Audrey Hepburn. The song subsequently won the Academy Award for Best Original Song and later became a big hit for Andy Williams. Toots Thielemans, who provided harmonica solos for the "Sesame Street Theme," performed the harmonica during the song's use in the opening sequence of the film.

Rowlf the Dog sang the song with the Willis Sisters in his debut on The Jimmy Dean Show in September 1963.
