"Moon, Moon" is a song from the Sesame Street special Big Bird in Japan.
When Big Bird, Barkley and their mysterious friend arrive at a house in Hakone, they begin to rest up for the day they take the train to Kyoto. However, in the middle of the night the mysterious woman is unable to sleep so she instead goes out to the garden and stares at the nearly full moon. She then begins to sing the song, describing how beautiful it is and yet it depresses her. She knows that when it is full on the next night, she will leave the earth. Big Bird who is also wide awake, secretly follows her outside and hears everything, and he wonders why she is unhappy.
This marks the first hinting of her true identity as the bamboo princess.
