Mike Tarkanian is the short-tempered editor of the Daily Chronicle in The Great Muppet Caper. An old friend of Kermit and Fozzie's Dad, he hires Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear (along with Gonzo) for sentimentality's sake. However, he comes to regret the decision after they miss covering the theft of Lady Holiday's jewels. He threatens to fire the trio, but reluctantly agrees to let them travel to England and try to get an exclusive interview with Lady Holiday.
