Mike Joens is an animation artist who worked on Muppet Babies as a storyboard artist and later storyboard director. For the animated Fraggle Rock series, Joens served as producer and also co-wrote the story for "Wembley's Trip to Outer Space."
Joens began his animation career with Filmation, storyboarding on Fat Albert, Sport Billy, The Fabulous Funnies, The New Adventures of Zorro, The Kid Super Power Hour with Shazam!, and that studio's versions of Tom and Jerry, Mighty Mouse, and Heckle and Jeckle. Later moving to Marvel Productions, he worked on My Little Pony and The GLO Friends and produced and directed the first Blondie & Dagwood special. Joens shifted to working on Christian video projects, such as the McGee & Me! series and Adventures in Odyssey.
