Miguelrosenberg

Miguel Rosenberg (1926-2016) was a Brazilian voice actor who dubbed Waldorf in several Muppet movies.

Rosenberg was a radio actor in the 1940s who became one of the earliest dubbing specialists, starting in the 1950s (while also appearing in early Brazilian TV). Early assignments included dubbing Clint Walker on the TV Western Cheyenne, Lorne Greene on Bonanza, and engineer Taurus on the cartoon Space Angel. Rosenberg later became the Brazilian Portuguese voice of Robert Hardy in the Harry Potter movies, John Spencer on The West Wing, and Silas Carson in the Star Wars prequels. He also dubbed Burgess Meredith in Grumpy Old Men and its sequel, Ben Kingsley in Schindler's List, Christopher Lloyd in The Pagemaster, William Prince in Spies Like Us, David Kelly in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Harry Dean Stanton in The Avengers, and Slim Pickens in Blazing Saddles.

In cartoons, Rosenberg was the second localized voice of Yogi Bear and remained in the role for later spin-offs and specials. Often cast as cranky bosses or chiefs, he dubbed Mr. Burns on The Simpsons, Cornelius in A Bug's Life, Mr. Slate at times on The Flintstones, Mr. Finkerton on Inch High, Private Eye, and Mr. Freeze on Batman: The Animated Series.
