Michael J. Pollard

Michael J. Pollard (b. 1939) is a character actor who played adolescent types in his twenties and has since specialized in child-like rubes and eccentrics, such as his Academy Award-nominated portrayal of mechanic turned gang member C. W. Moss in Bonnie and Clyde. Pollard played Aeolus, god of the wind, in the 1997 Creature Shop TV movie The Odyssey.
Pollard's other credits include The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming (with Alan Arkin and Jonathan Winters) Wild Angels, Roxanne (with Steve Martin), Scrooged, Dick Tracy (as big-eared surveillance officer Bug Bailey), Tumbleweeds, and House of 1000 Corpses (as Stuckey). On television, Pollard played cousin Jerome Krebs on The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis and guest starred on The Andy Griffith Show, Gunsmoke, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Eerie Indiana, and Lost in Space. His most notable TV roles may be Jahn, the teenage leader of a band of alien children in the Star Trek episode "Miri," and Mr. Mxyzptlk in two episodes of Superboy.
