  • Is it alright if I edit your Wilkins Coffee page?

  • Hi! You added File:Sclrap Flyapp.png to the Sclrap Flyapp page last September, but there's no indication which version it is. I have the Mike Douglas performance and it doesn't match that, and the Ed Sullivan version is in color so I know it's not that. So is the screenshot from The Today Show or The Tonight Show?

  • Hi, and thanks for adding to the Muppet Show Goofs page. Please don't add pictures to the wiki that have circles of boxes on them. It makes it hard to use them elsewhere. If there's a goof in the screenshot, it will be clear to see where it is. Thanks!

  • Hi. Thanks for the image of A. B. C-more from the Lord of the Rings parody. I've deleted it because there's a circle edited into the picture, which we don't use here. If you'd like to re-upload it without the circle, you're welcome to do so. Thanks!

  • Hi, Sam! Take a look again at the policy on gallery dumping: ""Only one character image with a transparent, white, or cut-out background should be included on the top of that character's page (any other preexisting image that applies can be exchanged if necessary or kept if it serves a specific purpose); all others should be kept on Character images with a blank background."

Yes, some pages still have character galleries but either the size allows for it or they haven't been cleaned up. We really don't want to add *more* to them, and especially not if you already found a home for the image. So please be careful with that. Also remember our image size should be 300px. A few older pics may be smaller, in which case certainly feel free to reshuffle them or even take them out, but don't suddenly shrink the main image between the templates. It looks bad.

Remember the advice I gave you last time: "we're struggling to adjust to the changes and try to fix dangling pics in general, so the best solution, unless it's a really unique, vital pic not just taken from the blank background gallery (and even then) would be to see what gap there may be on the page, what section could use some expansion or further development. Write about it, then see if there's room for another pic. Thanks!"

Also, there's nothing wrong with parking images on the talk page (or forum discussion) and asking which ones would work best. That would really be preferable in fact. Thanks!

  • Hi, Sam! I took out the pictures you added to Elmo and Kermit the Frog. Did you notice how much extra space there was at the bottom on the final page? (Doesn't always look the same in previews). It does vary slightly by browser, but still, between recent Darwin changes from Wikia, and pages like those were very image heavy anyway, there's no room to add without also adding text to compensate.

Plus images of Character images with a blank background are numerous and, beyond one or two at most, tend to look really boring. We parked them there just for the curious rather than delete when we got rid of a lot of gallery dumping, but some users keep adding new ones specifically to that page and misunderstand the point. It's even in Muppet Wiki:Policies and Guidelines: "Only one character image with a transparent, white, or cut-out background should be included on the top of that character's page (any other preexisting image that applies can be exchanged if necessary or kept if it serves a specific purpose); all others should be kept on Character images with a blank background. (CE discussion)."

In Kermit's case, a different image is on top and the one white background pic is nearer the bottom (plus the signature, which serves a purpose more clearly than another random Kermit pic). But as with anything on the Wiki, if you really think a specific image is needed, feel free to raise it on a talk page or forums. But right now, as you may have noticed from edit summaries, we're struggling to adjust to the changes and try to fix dangling pics in general, so the best solution, unless it's a really unique, vital pic not just taken from the blank background gallery (and even then) would be to see what gap there may be on the page, what section could use some expansion or further development. Write about it, then see if there's room for another pic. Thanks!

  • Where did you find that photo of Richard Hunt with Zoot on one arm and Janice on the other?  I saw it years ago but haven't been able to find it since.

  • Hi, just to let you know, we have an official policy on using watermarked images. Thanks!
