I love the Nutella page, but what I love even more is that I never put two and two together that the Squirrels Skippy, Jiffy, Junior and Nutella were all named after Peanut Butter! You made my morning Julian!!
Hi, Julian! I saw that the US Amazon is selling what might be a Spanish-language soundtrack album for The Muppets. I can't tell because it's called "Los Muppets", but there's no track listing yet. Have you heard anything about a German-language soundtrack album? I'm curious, since this is the first feature film since Disney took over, how their record division is going to handle foreign soundtracks, since Disney has always released their cartoon soundtrack albums in many different languages. Thanks!
Hi Ken! I have no idea, but ever since they don't care about voice consistency anymore, I'm afraid to even see the film in German. They didn't put out German versions of the soundtracks since Muppet Movie as far as I know... though there's a Muppets Die Schatzinsel CD on eBay that sells for more than I'm willing to pay ever since I got the Die Muppets Weihnachtsgeschichte CD only to find that it's the story with new, non-Muppety instrumental songs added.
Wunderbar, mi amigo! I just ordered Los Muppets (soundtrack), so I'll expand it when it comes in. Disney usually sells their Spanish translated soundtracks on their US label, so it's actually not an import. I think this is the very first dubbed Muppet album to be sold in the US. And this being Disney, I knew there would be a more organized effort to release the international soundtracks, since they'll all be on the same label, and not on a bunch of different ones the way the other movies have been. I'm going to tell Andrew that we have a brand-new reason to yell, "Die, Muppets!"
So... but why didn't they give Die Muppets Weihnachtsgeschichte the soundtrack treatment? Can't be that it's because they didn't own the characters yet, can it? That's one I would love to own!
Thank you! I took the liberty to fix some of the characters' eye problems that these new posers have (most notably Kermit!). Also, is there a way for us to use a file that's a little bigger than just 100 KB to show off the high quality of the original image? I know that it's a performance issue on slower machines, but the texture of the Muppets' skin & fur would look A LOT better at 279 KB! Anything Wikia can do for us there?
Oh! I thought the eye focus looked especially good -- I should've known you'd fix it. :) Unfortunately, we should keep it at 100kb -- the site is getting faster than it used to be, but every element that slows us down is a pain. It would be nice to have a more high-res skin, but this one is beautiful as it is.
That's too bad. Oh well. Here is the bigger file, just in case... and here is the file with Kermit, Piggy, Gonzo and Fozzie's eyes unaltered. Go back and forth and compare the two! :) The latter still shows Kermit's weird goiter that the new poser has sportedtoooften now. I can't figure out why nobody at Disney sees that and orders digital surgery!
Agh! I hadn't noticed that, but now I will forever. Darn you!! Yeah -- I've been pretty baffled for a while now by obvious poser problems that don't get fixed. I think we're past the flathead Kermit stage now, so that's a blessing...
Also you must have ESP. I just found a book with that picture of the Biltmore Theatre and was going to scan it in! But yours is much more high res! I love it!
Grr, it looks like we're having image cacheing problems -- can't get new versions of pics to update. I'm asking the engineers if there's anything we can do. Ah well. :)
Hi Julian,
I'm sitting in front of my laptop in Munich, preparing a lecture on search engine optimization and content for search engines, and I really need a picture of our little childhood-friends of Sesamstrasse. May I use the one you posted? Are there any rights I have to consider. Impatiently waiting for your answer! Thank you...Petra from good old Germany.
Hi Henrik (sorry, I've just noticed that you are living in Denmark),
thank you very much! You really helped me in this case. And be sure, I don't want to make money with this picture! Kind regards...Petra
Can you pop over to this discussion and chime in if you know who Piggy is representing in the photograph, or what this series of shots might be from. I noticed you uploaded one of the photos in question.
