  • Hi! A few more notes. One, please let administrators do their job. If we had a problem with The Muppet Movie Blu-Ray Giveaway thread, you would have noticed. Wikia set up an official give away, prizes supplied by Wikia, and mentioned it in an appropriate place on the forums. It's not spam to be complained about. If they'd inserted it into The Muppet Movie article, it would be spam and we'd have moved it. As is, it's no different from some of the "Who is your favorite Muppet?" threads other people started, which we don't allow on talk pages for articles but on the forum, that's fine, except here there's a prize involved and it helps bring attention to the Wiki and the upcoming release. They established clear rules and guidelines for it too to prevent things getting out of hand. If you don't like it, that's fine, you don't have to participate.

Also, you don't need to leave messages for blocked users either. Again, that's for admins, and with persistent users whose whole point is they *want* to annoy us, they get gratification from acknowledgement. So please don't mess with that either. Your enthusiasm is appreciated, but again, if something is a problem, leave it to the admins, or if it really bothers you, tell an admin first, and they'll say either "Thanks for catching that, I'll handle it" or "It's fine, no violation of rules." Please keep this in mind for the future. Thanks!

    • Ok, I'll let wikia use giveaway threads. I did not realize where it came from.

    • It's not even a matter of "letting" really, since they are our host after all. They're letting *us* use their software, space, promotion, etc. In return we do have to put up with stuff, like ads, but this isn't even like that since it's actually fun and relevant to us. And the whole point too, which I think you missed, was to get people to register as users (Muppet Wiki is one of the handful which has a rule that only registered users can post), so this encourages new editors and thus helps Muppet Wiki. I can see how it would throw you at first sight, but again, let the administrators handle this stuff. Thanks.

    • Wikia is "letting" us use their stuff, but they wouldn't have a product without us ;)

    • I may have to think about having wikia letting us use our stuff on other wikis after I ask the site to do so.

  • Hi! The forums aren't really the place to discuss a user's activity on other wikis or websites. It's not a public conversation topic. If you want to discuss anything of that kind with a specific user, their talk page or e-mail is the best place, but there isn't really a lot of profit in creating forum threads to note what you've found out about other users. It can be a little unsettling even. Thanks!

    • Oh uh, thanks for letting me know that. I googled it and found it about it. In that case, forums are used for questions if you don't know what actually appears in but you know the name of the character puppet.

    • Or anything relevant to the Muppets or Muppet Wiki. But we shouldn't use it to talk about what people do off the website. It could even discourage people from editing.

  • Hi, thanks again for fixing some of the darker images on the wiki. I think your screen might be a little dark though, as some of the new versions you're uploading are too saturated or washed out. Also, when uploading new images, please name the file appropriately. Random strings of numbers and letters are not as useful as a descriptive name. Thanks!

    • I wanted to improve the images to look like Julians uploads. Also, those names are named by vlc media player when I take a screenshot using the program and I only have full-screen in the NTSC version of the film; it's best to ask Julian to replace the full-screen images with the widescreen ones. I'm sure he has widescreen photos of the movie. Anyway, I have a brighter default screen.

  • Hi, just wanted to make sure that you knew Muppet is always capitalized. It's a proper noun.

  • Hi! When we have a list page like Recycled Puppets, we don't usually have a category as well, in most cases. I'm going to undo it for now, but feel free to start a discussion at Talk:Recycled Puppets and explain why you think a category is needed in this case (one of the reasons not in this case is that it would be too large, which normally is a reason *for* a category, plus there are also many cases where the pattern is reused but not the original puppet, or where we're not even sure which is which). Thanks!
