George and Melissa Rabbit are a dancing act briefly seen doing their act at the talent show in the 1977 Christmas special Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas.

George Rabbit also appears as a background character in episodes 221 and 503 of The Muppet Show.

For the Goodspeed Opera House's musical adaptation, the roles of George and Melissa were originated by James Silson and Anney McKilligan.
