Mel

Mel is one of the quartet of monsters featured in the Monster Clubhouse segments on Sesame Street. He has blue fur, with a wild mop of hair and two small horns. His speech sounds like gibberish to the home viewer, but his Monster Clubhouse friends Phoebe, Googel, and Narf can understand him with no trouble.
The puppet used for Mel bears a striking resemblence to the members of the Shagri-Las.
