P.J. Shaw, also known as Peggy J. Shaw, is an author and editor who has written several Sesame Street storybooks. She edited the Dalmatian Press re-issues of older Sesame books, sometimes credited as a contributing writer, and also wrote under the name Meg McLaughlin.

Shaw has also written Touch and Feel versions of classic books, Strawberry Shortcake coloring books, and Disney adaptations (including Bambi and Lady and the Tramp). For Dalmatian, she oversaw the Martin Luther King Jr. tribute book and CD set Voices: Reflections on an American Icon Through Words and Song. She also wrote for several periodicals in Virginia, Alabama, and Tennessee.
