Meet Jim Henson is a 1993 children's biography of Jim Henson.

1) Kermit — The creation of Kermit the Frog from Jim Henson's mother's coat while he spends time with his sick grandfather.

2) TV — An account of Henson's childhood years and the family's first television set in 1949. Henson is creatively encouraged by his maternal grandmother Sarah Brown, called "Dear" by the family.

3) Studio Days — Henson's time learning how to produce a TV series at WTOP and WRC-TV.

4) Sam and Friends — The production of Sam and Friends. Henson and his wife Jane come up with the name Muppet.

5) Sesame Street — Joan Ganz Cooney calls Henson in 1967 about working on Sesame Street. Henson struggles with the public perception of his puppets as "for kids only."

6) The Muppet Show — The "In the Navy" sketch from episode 524 of The Muppet Show is described from a behind-the-scenes viewpoint. Character development and the challenges of getting a puppet to do something as simple as pick up a ball is discussed.

7) Movies — Henson recalls that his favorite movie was probably The Wizard of Oz. His parents told him that the MGM lion scared him as a child. The Muppet Movie, The Great Muppet Caper, The Muppets Take Manhattan, The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth are discussed.

8) A Special View of the World — The development of Fraggle Rock and PSAs for environmentalism.

9) Muppet Babies — Henson didn't want to do an animated series at first because he wasn't fond of Saturday morning cartoons. He changed his mind when he became convinced that it could be about "how wonderful it is to use your imagination."

10) A Great Loss —
