Kermit and Mack appeared in ads for McGarry's Sausage. 11 ten-second ads were produced in 1964, and they aired from 1965 to 1968. Structurally, the ads were very similar to the ads produced for Wilkins Coffee (1957-1961) and Claussen's Bakery (1964-1966).

Kermit's relationship with Mack was quite abusive. Mack's agenda of pushing McGarry's Sausage intruded on the bounds of their friendship on several occasions. In one ad ("Wake Up"), Mack whispered to a sleeping Kermit, "Do you want McGarry's Sausages for breakfast?" Kermit murmured and settled to go back to sleep. Undaunted, Mack replied "You should," and then produced a pistol. He fired the gun into the air while exclaiming "They start your day off with a BANG!" causing Kermit to leap out of bed, shaking and fearing for his life.

In another ad called "Window", Kermit was seen hanging by his fingers from the window of a tall building.

Kermit: "Help! Save me!"

(Mack appears at the window.)

Mack: "Do you buy McGarry's Sausages?"

Kermit: "No!"

(Mack slams the window down on Kermit's fingers. There is a whistling sound as Kermit falls to the ground below. Mack opens the window again.)

Mack: "Why don't you drop down to the store for some?"

(SPLAT!)

(And then a shot of the product.)
