Matilde was a character from Barrio Sésamo, the Spanish version of Sesame Street.

She was a human, adult character who appeared in the second period of the series, from 1983 to 1987. She interacted with human-size muppets Espinete and Don Pimpón.

Matilde was married to Antonio, and they had two children, Roberto and Ruth.

Matilde owned the horchatería of the Barrio, a cafe that specialized in ice cold refreshment horchata [de chufas]. A friendly adult, she sometimes gave her friends horchatas on the house.
