Marvin the Paranoid Android appears in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Just as in the earlier versions of Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's saga, Marvin is an intelligent robot suffering from terminal depression. Made from fibreglass, the Marvin costume puppet weighed 55 pounds.
