Episode 503 of The Muppet Show featured a spoof of the calypso song, "Man Smart, Woman Smarter." A group of woodland animals dance and sing along to "Man Smart, Critter Smarter" in a wooded area with a factory seen far in the background giving off pollution, to which the animals protest. Backstage, Kermit notes the irony of a skunk having complained about the pollution resulting in their demolition of the building.
The song has also been recorded by The Carpenters and Harry Belafonte.
