Mamma Mia! is a 1999 stage musical written by British playwright Catherine Johnson, with lyrics and music by ABBA members Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus. This fictitious story of romance features a wide variety of songs originally recorded by ABBA. It has played on Broadway, in London's West End, in Las Vegas and in numerous other places around the world.
