Mai Zetterling (1925 - 1994) was a Swedish actress who played Grandma Helga in The Witches. The role netted her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films.
Zetterling began her film career in the 1940s by playing romantic leads, first in her native Sweden in such films as Ingmar Bergman's Torment and then in such British productions as Frieda and The Bad Lord Byron. One of her few American films was the 1954 Danny Kaye vehicle Knock on Wood. In television, she appeared on The Third Man, Errol Flynn Theatre, and Danger Man.
