Lyndon B. Johnson (1908 - 1973) was the 36th President of the United States, serving from 1963 to 1969.
- President Johnson's wife, Claudia "Lady Bird" Johnson, was referenced in the February 13, 1964 broadcast of The Jimmy Dean Show. Rowlf the Dog receives a Valentine's Day card from her, reading: "Roses are red / violets are blue / If I could leave Washington / I'd fly to you."
- In a later episode of The Jimmy Dean Show, Rowlf plans on opening his own discotheque. He hopes for some reservations over the phone and receives a call from President Johnson, who instead wants to borrow Rowlf's jukebox for his daughter Luci's wedding ("He's really cutting the budget," Rowlf notes). Later in the sketch, Rowlf gets another phone call from "Lyndon," and Jimmy Dean chides him for the casual way he speaks to the President. Rowlf counters that he was speaking to Lyndon Dopplemeyer, owner of the deli his disco will be located next to.
