Loopy appears in the short story "Fozzie's New Partner."

Created by Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, Loopy is designed to laugh at everything Fozzie Bear says. However, when Fozzie discovers he is unable to distinguish which of his jokes is really good over Loopy's constant laugh of "HAWAH-HAWAH-HAWAH," he returns the robot to Muppet Labs.
