Liza Minnelli (b. 1946) was the guest star on The Muppet Show Episode 414, and also had a cameo in The Muppets Take Manhattan. She also headlined the 1979 special Hello, Here Is Berlin (later broadcast as Liza Minnelli in Concert) featuring the Muppets.

Minnelli was also featured with Camilla in the "Second Great Muppet Look-Alike Contest" in the Winter 1984 issue of Muppet Magazine. The Fall 1984 issue also featured Minnelli's film That's Dancing in "Coming Attractions with Statler and Waldorf."

In the late 1970s, possibly before or after Minnelli's Muppet Show taping, Jim Henson, Caroll Spinney, and Debra Spinney were at a restaurant. According to Spinney, in 2011, they happened on Minnelli's table and Jim stopped, planning to talk with her. She looked up briefly, before returning to her previous conversation. Henson and friends talked with Alice Cooper and John Entwhistle, further along in the restaurant, instead.[1]

An accomplished Broadway actress, Minnelli was a favorite of composers Kander and Ebb, appearing in their shows The Act, The Rink, Chicago, and Flora, The Red Menace as well as the feature film adaptation of Cabaret (earning Academy Awards for both Minnelli and Joel Grey). Minnelli first performed the duo's "Theme from New York, New York" for the film (opposite Robert De Niro).

Small screen credits include appearances on Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Arrested Development, and Saturday Night Live. Feature film credits include the Arthur films with Dudley Moore and a cameo as herself in Sex and the City 2.

She is the daughter of the late actress Judy Garland.
