Livia

Livia Beasley (March 10, 1976) is a writer, producer, and developer in children's media. She is also the lead singer of the band Barefoot Walking.[1]

Early Life[]

Livia was raised in Dewey, Illinois. At a young age, her father asked her three questions to help her decide what she wanted to do with her life. He asked, "What are you good at? How can you help other people? And what do you love doing?"[2] That is when Livia decided she wanted to work in children's television. Livia graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, majoring in children's educational television.

Career[]

Livia is a writer/producer in children's television. Livia has been a producer at Sesame Workshop for the Special Projects team in Global Production. Her projects with Sesame Workshop included the TV specials When Families Grieve, hosted by Katie Couric, and Families Stand Together: Feeling Secure in Tough Times, hosted by Al Roker and Deborah Roberts.

Music Career[]

Livia is the lead singer of the New York-based band Barefoot Walking.[1] On October 15, 2010, the band premiered their music video for "Mermaid Day Parade" from their debut album, "Running Through Sprinklers". You can catch Barefoot Walking performing around New York City.
