Little Britain is a sketch comedy series which began on radio and ran on BBC television from 2003 until 2007. HBO ran the American version, Little Britain USA, in 2006.
Muppet Mentions
- In the pilot episode, Marjorie Dawes asks a fat kid what names the bullies at school call him. Suggesting the names in a mocking tone, she asks if they called him "Pigs in Space" (with the same echoing intonation used by the Announcer).
- The joke was reused in the sixth episode of Little Britain USA. Marjorie asks a member of her fat-fighters group if he was ever called "Pigs in Space."
- In Season 3 episode 6, Linda insultingly describes a group of ethnically and physically diverse students who she had previously mocked for their appearance: "I've got the whole cast of Fraggle Rock here. They're not happy."
- In the sixth episode of Little Britain USA, Ellie-Grace, while sharing loving sentiments with her mother before parting with her for a short time, tells her mother that she loves her more then "Sesame Street".
Notes
- In the German dub of Little Britain, the Fraggle Rock line is changed to the complete Muppet Show cast.
