Little Britain is a sketch comedy series which began on radio and ran on BBC television from 2003 until 2007. HBO ran the American version, Little Britain USA, in 2006.
In the pilot episode, Marjorie Dawes asks a fat kid what names the bullies at school call him. Suggesting the names in a mocking tone, she asks if they called him "Pigs in Space" (with the same echoing intonation used by the Announcer).
The joke was reused in the sixth episode of Little Britain USA. Marjorie asks a member of her fat-fighters group if he was ever called "Pigs in Space."
In Season 3 episode 6, Linda insultingly describes a group of ethnically and physically diverse students who she had previously mocked for their appearance: "I've got the whole cast of Fraggle Rock here. They're not happy."
In the sixth episode of Little Britain USA, Ellie-Grace, while sharing loving sentiments with her mother before parting with her for a short time, tells her mother that she loves her more then "Sesame Street".
In the German dub of Little Britain, the Fraggle Rock line is changed to the complete Muppet Show cast.
