Lily is a character in Growing Hope Against Hunger, a 2011 Sesame Street special. She is described in materials as "food insecure."

While the character received wide positive attention, Follow the Money was among those criticizing the concept.

On December 8, 2011, she appeared before the National Press Club, in a Sesame Workshop presentation about their "Food for Thought" campaign.
