Let's Sing a Song That Everybody Knows was written for the Sesame Street Sing-Along! album. In this audio sketch, Bert and Ernie ride a bus to get to a relative of Bert's. However, as Bert knows that it takes a long time to get to where they are going, Bert tells Ernie that he would like to have something to do while they are waiting. After figuring out what they can't do on a bus, Ernie decides that they can sing a song that everybody knows, starting with the song "Let's Sing a Song That Everybody Knows", and leading to a medley of songs. First, Bert sings "The Bear Went Over the Mountain", then Ernie sings "The Eensey Weensey Spider", then Bert sings "The Alphabet Song", and then Ernie sings "George Washington Bridge", which, as Ernie says, "Even if you don't know this song, the words are very easy". However in "Sing-Along Travel Songs" it was slighty edited to fit the re-relases.
