Learning to Add and Subtract is a 1987 Sesame Street direct-to-video special.

	FRAME 1	Big Bird welcomes the viewer and explains that he must learn to add and subtract very quickly. He has set up four spoons in groups of two, but he can't add them together. Maria comes by to help and helps him count them together, adding them.

	FRAME 2	Big Bird adds the spoons on his own; next, Maria wants him to add cookies. Maria explains that adding works the same no matter what you're adding.
	Cartoon	A mother bird adds her eggs that hatch. (EKA: Episode 2636)
	FRAME 3	Once again, Big Bird adds the cookies on his own. Maria now has him add crayons, which is still the same as adding spoons and cookies. He is amazed at how many things one can add.
	Cartoon	A cowboy adds two different herds of cows. (EKA: Episode 2411)
	Muppets	Bruce Stringbean, Clarice and S Street Band perform "Born To Add." (EKA: Episode 2477) Ending edited.
	FRAME 4	Just when Big Bird thinks he's done, he realizes he needs to learn how to subtract also. He calls for Maria, who helps him subtract bananas.
	Cartoon	"Five Bears in the Bed" get subtracted as they fall off the bed.
	Muppets	Ernie has a stack of seven cupcakes that he wants to take a picture of, but Cookie Monster keeps stealing cupcakes (which he calls "cuppycakes"). (EKA: Episode 0235)
‎	FRAME 5	Big Bird demonstrates his subtraction skills by subtracting the bananas on his own. Maria brings some of Bert's bottlecaps for him to subtract and explains that like adding, it doesn't matter what you subtract.
