Laura Dern (b. 1967) is an American actress best known for her role of Dr. Ellie Sattler in the Jurassic Park movies.

Dern appeared with Kermit the Frog at the Environmental Media Awards on October 14, 1996.

Other credits include guest spots on King of the Hill, The West Wing and Frasier.

Dern was one of many actresses to audition for the role of Sarah in Labyrinth.^[1]
