Larry Bird (b. 1956) is a former member of the National Basketball Association, who famously played for the Boston Celtics from 1978 to 1992.

In a Sesame Street segment, Big Bird squared off against WNBA player Rebecca Lobo wearing Larry Bird's jersey and numbers, cashing in on Bird's last name.
