In an attempt at keeping a tone of culture and classicism for The Muppet Show episode 213, Kermit introduces what he describes as a love duet from an opera by Giuseppe Wagner. In actuality, Link Hogthrob and Miss Piggy sing "La Ci Darem La Mano" from Mozart's opera Don Giovanni. The two desperately try to upstage each other, until Sam lowers a giant magnet onto the stage, thus pulling the metal-costumed singers out of their song.
