Kofi Annan (b. 1938) was the Secretary-General of the United Nations from 1997 to 2007.

He has appeared on Sesame Street, as well as the South African co-production, Takalani Sesame. Annan was honored at the 2003 Annual Sesame Workshop Benefit Gala.
