Klaus Jepsen on Direktion City

Klaus Jepsen (1936-2005) was a German voice actor who dubbed the Skeksis scientist in Der Dunkle Kristall‎ (The Dark Crystal) and Scorpius on Farscape - Verschollen im All. He also dubbed minor characters on Die Dinos (Dinosaurs), including Mr. Lizard at times.

With a higher register voice often used for weasely or nervous types as well as authority figures, Jepsen seldom dubbed leading men. He lent his tones to character actors, comedians, and eccentric figures: Pete Postlethwaite in The Usual Suspects, Bob Newhart in Elf, Alan Arkin in Mother Night, Austin Pendleton in The 4th Floor, Tito Puente in Mambo Kings, Jim Broadbent in Iris, Alun Armstrong in Van Helsing, and Philip Jackson in The Last Dance. TV dub assignments included David Ogden Stiers on M*A*S*H, Werner Klemperer on Hogan's Heroes (and then Howard Caine as the angry Major Hochstedder in the second dub), Armin Shimerman as Principal Snyder on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Edward Hibbert on Frasier. For cartoons, he dubbed the Lobe on Freakazoid, the Tod in The Plague Dogs, and guest roles on Superman.
