King Derwin appeared in the second season of The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss. Created by Dr. Seuss, King Derwin was the ruler of The Kingdom of Didd in the 1938 book The 500 Hats of Bartholemew Cubbins and the 1949 sequel Bartholemew and the Oobleck. In both books and the puppet series, King Derwin is a petulant ruler, with many whims, and swift to take a like or dislike to something. In The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, he also has a daughter, and Milo serves as his page.
