Kenneth Ascher (b. 1941) is an American songwriter, musician, and arranger. He wrote lyrics for the 1976 remake of A Star Is Born and arranged music for John Lennon, Yoko Ono, and Meat Loaf, among others.

He also composed the songs and score of The Muppet Movie with Paul Williams.

Ascher performed "The Rainbow Connection" with Paul Williams in the 1979 TV special The Muppets Go Hollywood.
