Katie Couric (b. 1957) is a television journalist and presenter, perhaps best known for co-hosting NBC's Today Show from 1991 to 2006. She then served as the anchor for CBS Evening News from 2006 to 2011, and has also reported for 60 Minutes and ABC News. She also hosted the online interview program @katiecouric and the syndicated talk show Katie.

Couric has appeared several times on Sesame Street, spoofing her role as a reporter on two occasions. She interviewed Little Jack Horner in Episode 3329 as a correspondent for Inside Sesame Street, and prominently guest-starred in the direct-to-video release Learning to Share, hosting the Today Show parody, Cooperation Today. She also appeared in the celebrity version of "Sing" on Episode 3851, and the Muppets' music video for "She Drives Me Crazy." Couric has also visited the Sesame Street set when reporting for Today, at one time receiving numerous kisses from the Count.

She contributed a "Zesty Tomato-Thyme" recipe for Miss Piggy's 1996 cookbook, In the Kitchen with Miss Piggy. Couric also contributed the "Hangin' with the Girls" artwork for Sesame Workshop's 1998 art exhibit, Art From the Fuzzy and Famous, and hosted the 2003 Annual Sesame Workshop Benefit Gala.

Couric began her broadcast career at ABC News in their Washington, D.C. bureau, before moving to CNN. After a stint in Miami, she worked as a reporter for WRC-TV for two years. Aside from her journalism career, Couric was a longtime host of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on NBC, traded positions with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show, appeared as herself on the sitcom Murphy Brown, and made a cameo as a prison guard in Austin Powers in Goldmember.
