Katie Couric

Katie Couric (b. 1957) is a television journalist currently serving as anchor of the CBS Evening News. Previously, she served as the host of NBC's Today Show. She has appeared on Sesame Street and in the video Learning to Share.
Couric contributed a "Zesty Tomato-Thyme" recipe for Miss Piggy's 1996 cookbook, In the Kitchen with Miss Piggy. She also contributed the "Hangin' with the Girls" artwork for Sesame Workshop's 1998 art exhibit, Art From the Fuzzy and Famous.
She also appeared in the celebrity version of "Sing" on Episode 3851 and the Muppet's music video for "She Drives Me Crazy."
Couric began her broadcast career at ABC News in their Washington, D.C. bureau, before moving to CNN. After a stint in Miami, Couric worked as a reporter for WRC-TV for two years.
Aside from her journalism career, Couric was a longtime host of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on NBC, traded positions with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show, and appeared as herself on the sitcom Murphy Brown.
