Kathleen the Cow

Kathleen the Cow is seen singing with other cows such as Gladys the Cow on Sesame Street.

Kathleen's name comes from a Season 28 episode. She is known for singing "The Sneeze Song" (voiced here by Marilyn Sokol) with a Pig, a Sheep, and Fred the Wonder Horse in Season 21.

The puppet was later used as a background character on Sesame Street during street scenes, sketches, or songs such as, "Boogie Woogie Piggies" and "If I Were The Letter B." Rick Lyon has performed the character in the background.

In Elmo's Magic Cookbook, Stephanie D'Abruzzo performed her as the cow that help produce milk to make the cheese, which is one of the main ingredients that Emeril Lagasse use to make pizza.

Jennifer Barnhart later performed her from the nursery rhyme, “Hey Diddle Diddle,” as the cow who jumped over the moon in Episode 4083 and Happy Healthy Monsters.

Notes

• Occasionally, the Katheleen puppet would be used for cows with different names. In the "The New Here is Your Life" sketch which focuses on Prairie Dawn's glass of milk, the Katheleen puppet is named Bossy and performed by Camille Bonora. In the "Law and Order: Special Letters Unit" sketch, the cow is named Murray and is consider the missing letter "M" because it makes a moo sound.
• In A Muppet Family Christmas, the Kathleen puppet is performed by Richard Hunt during "Deck the Halls," but with a male voice instead.
