Writer and poetKarel Eykman (b. 01/03/1936) wrote many things for theather, television, radio and educational programs. Since 1984 he wrote alot of stories and lyrics for Sesamstraat.

Together with Hans Dorrestijn, Willem Wilmink, Ries Moonen, Fetze Pijlman and Jan Riem he started in 1970 a writers group that produced many songs and lyrics for Sesamstraat and other famous Dutch childerenprograms.
