Judd Hirsch (b. 1935) is an American actor best known for his role of Alex Rieger on the television comedy series Taxi. Hirsch was one of the celebrities who came to work the telethon in the 2011 film, The Muppets.

Hirsch has appeared in multiple Broadway productions, including I'm Not Rappaport with Ben Vereen, guest starred on numerous television series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and appeared in feature films like Independence Day and Ordinary People.
