Juan Domingo Méndez (1921-1990) was a Mexican voice actor who dubbed Rowlf the Dog, Statler, and Dr. Julius Strangepork on El show de los Muppets (The Muppet Show). He reprised Rowlf and Statler in Los Muppets Toman Nueva York (The Muppets Take Manhattan).

Méndez began as a radio actor and, in 1944, he was part of a group brought to New York City by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer to participate in early dubbing. Returning to Mexico, he was heard in 1950s TV dubs, lending his voice to Adolphe Menjou on Your Favorite Story and Target and dubbing characters on The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin. He later worked as a translator and dubbing director, as well as dubbing Walter Matthau in The Odd Couple, Edward Woodward on The Equalizer, and Conrad Bain on Different Strokes.[1]

In animation, Méndez dubbed Hanna-Barbera characters Doggie Daddy and Super Snooper, while Disney assignments included the 1964 dub of Snow White (doc), Dumbo (the ringmaster), One Hundred and One Dalmatians (Jasper), and The Aristocats (Uncle Waldo and Georges Hautecourt). He voiced characters in the Mexican animated features Los 3 Reyes Magos, Katy la Oruga, and a 1987 version of Oliver Twist.
