Jon Polito

Jon Polito (b. 1950) is a character actor whose portly frame, bald pate, and pencil-thin moustache have led to a steady career playing gangsters, detectives, seedy managers, crooked FBI agents, and other weasely types in film-noir throwbacks and comedies. His distinctive raspy voice has also been put to use as a voice-actor, including a guest spot on Dinosaurs as sleazy producer Ty Warner in "Swamp Music."
In film, Polito has been a regular member of the Coen Brothers' repertory company, appearing in Miller's Crossing (as Johnny Caspar), Barton Fink (producer Lou Breeze), The Hudsucker Proxy, The Big Lebowski (Da Fino), and The Man Who Wasn't There. TV work has included Detective Crosetti on Homicide: Life on the Street, guest spots on Seinfeld, Gilmore Girls, Scrubs, and Desperate Housewives.
