John Lithgow

John Lithgow (b. 1945) is an actor who has appeared in numerous films, including The World According to Garp, Footloose, and Terms of Endearment. He was the star of the NBC sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun, and has appeared on Broadway several times, including the musical Sweet Smell of Success, for which he earned the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical. Outside of the entertainment world, he also writes children's books.
He provided narration for the audio version of It's Not Easy Being Green in 2005, offering a simulation of Jim Henson's soft-spoken delivery.
