Joey is Big Bird's pen pal in the book Big Bird Visits Navajo Country. Big Bird takes the Gray Bird Bus Company to visit Joey for the summer in New Mexico. While there they tour the Grand Canyon, ride horses, and Big Bird learns many Navajo legends.
