Joel Tobeck (b. 1971) is a New Zealand actor who played the villainous Snead in the 2005 Creature Shop-effects film Mee-Shee: The Water Giant.
A frequent player of villains and henchman in fantasy/sci-fi projects shot in New Zealand, Tobeck appeared as Strife and others on the TV series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and its spin-offs, Xena: Warrior Princess and Young Hercules. Other TV credits include Cleopatra 2525 (recurring as Creegan), Without a Trace, and various villain voices in the Power Rangers franchise. Film credits include The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (as an orc lieutenant), Ghost Rider, My Grandfather Is a Vampire, and Little Fish (with Sam Neill and Hugo Weaving).
